Layn Marlow is a British writer and illustrator, whose picture books have been translated and sold in many countries around the world.

Realising early on that she loved art and writing, Layn first studied History of Art at Reading University, so she could write lots of words about pictures. Her love of children's literature and particularly picture books, began not long after she was just too old to be part of their target readership, but luckily she and her husband soon had two children to share them with!
